Summary
Autumn realised they were near Hawthorne while they were loading the glider onto the trailer. She called Summer and the they spent the night with Alan and Summer.
They didn't rush home and camped one night near Mackinaw City, and spent time the next moring on Mackinac Island.
Driving home they talked about school lunches. Autumn suggested they rotate bringing food for the group, maybe soup or a stew. They agreed to give it a go.
They got to the Gravengood house late to find all their parents enjoying a cookout.
Bree took a heavy AP class load to prepare for the heavy load she could expect at the Air Force Academy. She did well in the cross-country meets and was headed to Michigan International Speedway with the team for the state championships.
The football team would be playing for the regional championship the same weekend.
Jackie had painted Bree's Diamond badge on the nose of the 1-26, with the dates of her three diamond flights.
