Mike Trevetheck and his wife Rowan, residents of Spearfish Lake, had three daughters, Spring, Summer and Autumn Trevetheck. "By themselves, none were totally uncommon names, although when you stopped and thought about it three sisters with those names implied that their parents had to be just a little weird."BITH1
Mike encouraged his daughter Summer to date Rusty Frankovich. When Rusty walked out and left Summer at the movie theater in Camden, he went directly to Rusty's father. "If Bob Frankovich is half the man I think he is, and I know him pretty well, he’ll be the one to kick his son’s ass up between his ears."BITH10
Mike was excluded from much of his family's participation in the Old Ways religion, but some aspects were known. "Summer’s family didn't celebrate Christmas. [Jack Erikson] remembered from sometime back in elementary school that Summer had said that it was something their family just didn't do, no tree or presents or anything like that. "BITH1
Mike was a volunteer firefighter on the Spearfish Lake fire department. Driving the Spearfish Lake grass truck he was the first firefighter to arrive at the County Road 919 turnoff and meet Jack Erikson and Vixen Hvalchek.BHF4
