Camden and Spearfish Lake Railroad is a short-line railroad serving from the city of Camden out to Warsaw and is based out of a Depot in Spearfish Lake. Over time it picks up more track and engines, including the Kremmling Branch, which supports the gravel pit traffic. Among its biggest customers are Jerusalem Paper in Warsaw, Clark Plywood in Spearfish Lake, and two rock quarries: Summit Pit near Walsenberg and Big Pit near Kremmling via the Kremmling Branch.
Some of the employment is seasonal as the quarries do not operate when there is snow on the ground.
