Summary
Nick Steward called in to Dr. Thompson's office asking if Activities Day could be re-scheduled because of the shooting. This was news to Dr. Thompson and Susan McMahon so they went to the Community Services Center and spoke to Chief Bascomb. Nick suggested they make a statement to the news crews outside to clear up some of the rumours.
Alan Jahnke spent more time on paperwork than being treated in the ER. As he and Summer were leaving the hospital they saw Elise Simpkins brought in. They prayed to the Goddess for both Darrin and Elise. Having seen them praying, Reverend Herbert Fowler offered them a lift back to campus.
Outside the Community Services Center Dr. Thompson got attention and introduced himself and Chief Bascomb. The Chief gave a summary of events and the injured and described the shooter without naming him.
Dr. Thompson gave an outline of how SMU came to use a campus previously belonging to Hawthorne College. Jack Erikson answered some questions about what he saw when the shooting happened.
Kristy Baumgartner asked about Cody being expelled by Mr. deRidder. Dr. Thompson said deRidder may not have been aware of all the circumstances and that Cody would not be expelled.
Dr. Thompson nominated Susan McMahon as contact for the news crews because the PR Director was out of town. Susan set up a news conference for four o'clock.
