Summary
On Sunday Susan Schneider organised a work bee to help Monica and Frenchy clean the new house ready to move into.
On Monday the lady at the Thrift Store sent them to Spearfish Lake Furniture and Appliance where Danny Evachevski had some bargains for them.
Tuesday they went shopping in Camden and moved into the house.
Wednesday Frenchy was back at work bundling and delivering firewood. He picked up some copies of the Record-Herald with their story and picture on the front, and was surprised to see a collecting tin labelled “Please help the Laughton – LeDroit family, who lost everything they owned in a house fire last Friday.”
Frenchy received an unexpected note and cheque from Alan, Summer, Jack, Vixen, Lyle and Ashley. He took a chance and drove to Alan's house where he saw them loading up to leave for college.
Mrs. LeDroit called on Frenchy to tell him she was leaving town and getting a divorce. She didn't want his father to know where she was going.
Frenchy suggested Monica should call in at the Super Market and ask about a job, knowing his mother's job was going to be vacant.
