Lonnie Iffland was at one time Monica Laughton's boyfriend. He is the father of her son Chad.
Monica had thrown him out of the house and got a personal protection order against him wehen he started hitting both her and Chad. He had broken the PPO twice and done jail time on both ocassions.OC13
He broke into the house one evening and attempted to rape Monica. Frenchy LeDroit beat him down and kept him down until Sheriff's Deputy Chris Aaronsen arrived to take him to jail.OC22
When he next got out of jail he hitch-hiked from Camden to Spearfish Lake and set fire to Monica's house while they were asleep.OC23 The charges from that included attempted murder and would see him in prison for twenty to thirty years.OC24
