Summary
Fair season provided many good races with all the drivers winning some though Mel, Arlene and Buckshot doing very well.
While racing around Florida Arlene went looking for a job for the winter and setled on one in Fort Lauderdale. Mel and Arlene agreed to write back and forth over the winter.
The post-season steak dinner was in Pascagoula, Mississippi this year. The season standings had Arlene in third, Dewey in second aith Mel winning again.
Arlene left to go down to Fort Lauderdale. Scotty, Perk, Red and Buck left for home. There were enough of the crew to drive back to Livonia.
Vivian found an apartment for Dewey, Mel, Pepper and Rocky to share.
Chick and Hattie again hosted Thanksgiving dinner.
Mel learned that schools were filling up with the start of the "Baby Boom". With a shortage of teachers high schol teachers were having to teach younger kids.
