Herb Kralick had a small Ford agency Herb Kralick Ford in Livonia on the outskirts of Detroit. He was keen on racing and took an interest in midgets in 1936. He had Frank Blixter build him a midget but spun off the track into a swamp the first time he drove it and sold it to Frank for $50.^BR1-1

Herb took part of the business when Frank Blixter and [{Spud McElroy]] started the Midwest Midget Sportsman Association. He found them a small warehouse to build the cars.

Herb didn't think his daughter, Vivian, should be working n a car dealership and only took her on when she was talking to the Chevy dealer about a job. He assigned Vivian to be Frank's assistant and office manger with a desk at the dealership.

Herb gave Chick and Hattie Novesky a good deal on a travel trailer when they insisted on taking their baby with them travelling with MMSA, quite likely at a loss. He later took Chick on as a mechanic to train in automatic transmissions.

Herb's service department was used to go through the MMSA cars at times, particularly when it came time to fit larger gas tanks for the fall fair season each year.

When Runt Chenowith was looking for a pit crew for the Indianapolis 500 Herb took guys from his service department a couple of years.
