Summary
Spud told Dutch, Junie, Hap and Buckshot he'd open their restrictor plates a sixteenth to improve their running.
Herb's mechanics were pit crew for Runt Chenowith but Squirt Chenowith needed a crew so some of the MMSA crew were pit crew for him.
Dutch didn't turn up for the next race.He'd said he didn't want to be seen in the area running at the back of the pack.
At Schererville Hap and Junie tangled too much and were both injured. Arlene Pewabic took control of first aid and helping the injured. Once they were on their way to hospital she ran off to drive in the hot rod race.
Frank offered Arlene a chance to drive one of their midgets the next afternoon.
The 53 and 57 cars were wrecked. The 57 they could fix on the road but the 53 was sent back to Livonia for Peewee Svoboda and Hoss Korodan to work on.
