Hoss Korodan was a driver with MMSA. When both Frank Blixter and Spud McElroy had to be away Hoss was usually left in charge. He showed Mel Austin the ropes.^BR1-7

Hoss won the MMSA championship in 1950.^BR1-13

Winters he worked in his brother's body shop in Livonia.^BR1-12 He did the body work on the MMSA cars as each was worked on.^BR1-14

Hoss decided to marry his girlfriend, Helen, instead of going on the road with the MMSA in 1951.^BR1-16 The wedding was fixed for a Sunday in June when the crew would be back in Livonia and not racing. Rocky Turnupseed, Dink Braithwaite, Chick Novesky, Hattie, Skimp Winkelman, Pepper, Woody Vanderglessen, Sonny Ochsenlaager, Frank Blixter, Vivian Kralick, Spud McElroy and Mel Austin from the MMSA were invited to the wedding and the reception which went on till after dawn.^BR1-18

A couple of months later Hoss and Helen invited the gang over for an evening and introduced them to the new food - pizza pie.^BR1-18

By 1964 Hoss had quit panel bashing and was an insurance claims adjuster.^BR2-16

He and Helen had two sons by then, both of them racing karts and quarter midgets when they were younger, and later Sportsmen on the local tracks. One of the sons quit racing when he went to college, and later medical school, but the other one stayed with it on the local tracks for years and years while working in his dad’s insurance business.^BR1-18
