Woody Vanderglessen was a driver with MMSA from the beginning in 1948.^BR1-20 He was one of three in the crew who had street cars, so took his turns doing a lunch meat run.^BR1-9

In the winter of 1950/51 he lived with relatives while working for MMSA building and repairing cars.

At the end of the 1951 season he went home to Grand Rapids and then took off for California with a friend and that was the last contact Frank Blixter had with him.^BR1-20
