Summary
Woody left for home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A few days later he sent a card saying he was heading to California.
Dink stayed in Livonia this winter, living with Rocky, Pepper, Mel, Chick and Hattie and Carol in the house Vivian had rented for them. Dink met up again with the two fat girls he'd been with at Hoss's wedding and spent more nights with them than he did at the house.
Frank and Spud rented a nearby apartment.
Chick left MMSA to go to the Ford school for automatic transmissions and then work for Herb Kralick.
Mel got some days substitute teaching until the Christmas holidays. He got a call from Principal George Anniston the first day back to teach auto shop for a while because the regular teacher, Mr. Kravitz, had had a heart attack.
While teaching Mel met and platonically dated Bonnie Halfsteader until he left to go racing.
