Peewee Svoboda was a high school dropout but a hell of a welder. He joined Spud McElroy and Frank Blixter building midget race cars. The car was mostly Spud’s design, although Frank and Peewee had some in it, too. Pewee generally worked on the chasis.^BR1-11

Winter of 1950-51 Peewee wasn't working for Frank but spent some weekends building frames for two new midget cars.^BR1-14

When the 53 car was wrecked at Schererville and sent back to Herb Kralick Ford in Livonia Peewee decided to build a new frame instead of straightening out the bent one.^BR1-28

He later worked for Spud's fab shop in Indianapolis. Mel Austin hunted him up to build a new MMSA midget frame out of two wrecks for the restoration project he had in mind for the Auto Shop II class.^BR2-18 He also build a totally new frame when Mel planned to build a replica using as many original parts as possible.^BR2-20
