Summary
John & Candice travel to Spearfish Lake for Christmas with John's parents for the first time in five years. John had had to work late so it was very late when they arrive at the house, and the two boys were asleep when they arrived. They don't stay up long, just enough to unwind, then go to bed.
In the morning John & Candice take the two boys to Josh & Tiffany's who have arranged to take them out into the woods by dog sled to find, cut and retrieve a suitable Christmas tree.
Candice is surprised to find Phil Wine is running a sled for Tiffany & Josh, they were at school together in Arvada Center. They spend the trip out catching up on each others news.
