Summary

The board of the Donna Clark Foundation (Ryan Clark, Randy Clark and Carrie Evachevski) met in Ryan's office. Ryan phoned Bryson Payne at the school to tell him of the rejection of the scholarship applications he'd sent over, and the approval of scholarships for Cody and Janice Archer. He then phoned Charles DeRidder telling him both the Foundation and Clark Plywood would no longer make donations to the schools, meaning projects which had been planned would have to be cancelled.

On Wednesday Janice was helping out at Spearfish Lake Outfitters when Charlie Wexler phoned Cody. Charlie had been speakiing with Matt Schindenwulfe about Cody and Janice and learned about the deal with the school paying their educational expenses. He suggested Cody could get Police Academy training out of it as well, worth about five thousand dollars.

Cody checked with Matt Schindenwulfe and then went to the Spearfish Lake Outfitters store for a family consultation. Cody was inclined to go with it but that left Janice in Spearfish Lake while he was away for four months, or in an apartment with nothing to do. After going round the arguments a couple of times Janice left and took the pickup.
