Summary
Cody and his parents talked about Janice taking off. He walked home expecting to find her there but she wasn't.
When Janice got home much later she said she would do an EMT course the same time and place that Cody would do the police academy. She had got Charlie Wexler to book both places.
That evening in bed Janice told Cody she'd heard Candice telling John that Carole Hunt described Janice as Cody's slave, and that she was happy with that. That night they made love for the first time and Janice's screams told John and Candice so.
Epilogue: Twenty-one months later
Bryson Payne was driving home from a student's open house when he was pulled over for drunk driving. When he realised the cop was Cody Archer he asked if it was vengeance. Cody hadn't known who he was pulling over so no, but what he would tell the school board would be.
