Summary
Jeffrey Tidsworth, the Spearfish County Prosecutor, took a call from Tom Feekings, the commander of the Regional Drug Task Force, complaining about the treatment of his two officers, Mike Livingston and Mike LaFayette. That made up Tidsworth's mind to complete the certificate and let Cody know he wouldn't be prosecuted for the shooting. He delivered the certificate and returned Cody's pistol to him.
Spearfish Lake City Council confirmed Bill Abernathy's suspension and voted to terminate his contract once the suspension was resolved. They also confirmen Charlie Wexler as interim Police Chief to be made permanent when Abernathy's suspension was resolved.
Luke Colby called Mike McMahon to tell him the council meeting needed more news space than usual and they worked together to put the week's front page together.
