Luke Colby was the junior reporter on the Spearfish Lake Record-Herald in December 2007.
He heard the police call about the break-in at the Archer house, so made his way to report on it.SK15
He heard Sheriff Steve Stoneslinger telling John Archer and family who he'd caught and got pictures when they were led away.
Mike McMahon thought he'd done a good job reporting the shooting, drug investigation and break in at the Archer house.
In late June 2008 he got a new job in Geneva and left Spearfish Lake so Susan McMahon got tagged for the junior reporter's Monday rounds.SK28
