Summary

Tricia arrives back in Spearfish Lake with an almost-full car. She realizes that this residence is now her home, not just a place to live for a while. Heather and her son Lee help unload. When Heather comments on the minimal kitchen items Tricia replies that for several years she's been eating at hospital cafeterias.

Monday afternoon Bonnie the reporter interviewed Tricia. The lead item was that she was taking over the practice on the following Monday. The resulting newspaper story caused a small flood of appointment requests.

After the last patient on Friday evening Ryan Clark walked in, along with Bonnie the reporter, Danny and Carrie Evachevski, and both Jennifer and Blake. They presented Dr. Luce with a plaque honoring him for over fifty years of service. Bonnie took a photo of a ceremonial handing over of a ring of keys.

After Dr. Luce drove away, Ryan asked Tricia if she had any weekend plans? She replied that she had planned on giving the office a good cleaning so that when people come in Monday morning they won't think it’s the same old place. He said "Wise move... Would you care for a little help?" She replied "If someone wants to come over and pitch in, I’m not going to complain."

The next morning Ryan and many more showed up. By the end of the day the waiting room and the exam rooms had new paint, the waiting room had new furniture, and the roof had new shingles. The moment with the most impact for Tricia was the new "Dr. Tricia York MD." sign on the front of the building.

Monday morning Betty was shocked at the difference... new paint, new furniture, even new magazines on the waiting room tables. Betty was shocked again when Heather was introduced as the office nurse, and a third time when Laura was introduced as the new billing clerk. Betty was not happy... and and walked out, taking unused vacation in lieu of giving notice. Within a few hours Molly Knox, who used to be the receptionist for a local dentist was the new receptionist.
