Laura Hutchison was moderately heavy-set fortyish woman.
She was Dr. Gene Metarie's billing clerk. She was set up as the head of a new company, Spearfish Medical Support Service, to handle billing for both Dr. Metarie and Dr. Tricia York as well as the ambulance service.
Spearfish Medical Support Service was initially set up in the old Spearfish Lake Appliance premises and would move to offices in Spearfish Lake Medical Center when it opened in the old Spearfish Lake Hospital building.
