Summary
The Canyon Tours crew shows up with pickup trucks and a box trailer to help both Jon & Tanisha and Ben & Joy move into their new houses, all in one day.
Tanisha gives birth to a little girl, Barbara, during the evening of July 4, 2002.
Jim Bricklin brings news that Martin Clemmens is going to serve a few years for assault, and more. Kwame Blythe is free, but his wife Shantel denounced him in church, and left for parts unknown with the children after stripping the bank accounts, throwing all the computers and paper records in the trash, and leaving their apartment doors open, leaving Kwame little but problems. It's possible Shantel and the children left with Leroy Kingfisher, but Jim wouldn't say.
To accomodate the Canyon Tours schedule the Chladeks hold a combination house-warming and baby-shower in mid-July, and both Pete Chladek and Doris show up for a surprise visit, courtesy of Jennlynn and her Learjet. Pete, Karin, Crystal, Nanci and Jon have a brief but sincere joint apology session, and Pete introduces Doris as not just his friend but as his new wife.
This is the final chapter of Growing Together.
