Summary
This book is a follow-on to Alone Together and you really need to read that book first.
Jon is white and Tanisha is black. They've lived together for five years, hiding from Jon's wrathful father and Tanisha's vindictive brother. Despite some trepidations, they love each other, their new lives, their jobs, and friends.
When their best friend is involved in a nationally publicized incident, discovery seems likely. Dealing with that requires resourceful thinking and direct action, but things are not always as they seem. As a result, their lives will change more than they can imagine.
Timeline
It starts with the events of the attempted but averted airliner hijacking in February 2002 MC31 seen from Jon and Tanisha's viewpoint. It ends in July of the same year.
