Summary
As a weinie roast progressed, people broke up into smaller groups have conversation. Scott catches up on the gossip of several absent classmates. Eventually the topic shifts to Scott's past as a popular guy and Sonja's luck in catching him. Sonja surprised him, and their audience, when she "planted a big, serious kiss on his lips. She acted like she meant it ... This was different, perhaps the most serious, soulful kiss they’d ever had, and right in front of his classmates, too!"
