Dean Sallows was a member of the Bradford High School's Class of 1988.

Dean and his wife, Kathy, live in Bradford, unlike so many of his classmates. Dean has a brother, John (married to Marilyn), that presumably graduated from Bradford, although a different year. The brothers are independent truck drivers "working under contract for General."^HS1

Sandy Beach has a strong wanderlust and despite having a home in Bradford with Dayna Berkshire, she isn't a native of the town. "Now about half of her winter layovers in Bradford were spent in one of Dean's or John's Kenworths, team driving or filling in on shorter runs so the guys could get a little break."^HS11

Dean and his wife attended the 1998 Halloween Drag party, where the muscular Dean Sallows had on a miniskirt that was about as radical as Dayna and Sandy's, and was decked out a little hooker style like them, as well.^HS4

In Dodging Mom and With A Little Help Dean's wife is named Joyce. It seems Wes had forgotten that he'd named her Kathy in the earlier publication Homestanders
