Summary

Emily talks to Lloyd about the town meeting from the night before. Emily confirms that Lynette enjoys a good rant and the board could do little except listen. The issue is a farmer enjoying his Civil War era artillery piece and firing it in a gravel pit on his property. He has no near neighbors and the closest he has doesn't mind. The ATF doesn't regulate this kind of firearm, so if the township attempted to restrict it, there would be 2nd amendment entanglements that would be messy and expensive. Lloyd suggests Emily keep it brief for now and try a follow up piece with a 'gee zow' approach later. Emily is excited at getting paid $20 for her little article. "to actually get paid for writing! She knew it happened, but had never happened for her."

At the Spee-D-Mart, Emily listens to Dayna worry about the mileage on her RV. She and Dayna are debating investing in repairs or starting new. Vicky arrives with the news she got the job at Macy Controls. They discuss when to celebrate.

Sandy is on the road, trucking with Dean Sallows, something that doesn't seem to bother his wife. If they delay the celebration, they can include Kevin and Jason without fear of boredom.
