Bert Woodward has retired and, with his wife Laura, now owns a hobby farm outside Bradford called Malvern Hill. Both "had the look of having money and being comfortable with it."HS14. While leasing land for farming will cover some of their operating costs, their real interest is in developing a working Artillery Museum and indulging in military Reenactments.
Bert is described as "a tall, salt-and-pepper-haired man with an infectious smile ." Jason MacRae found him easily likable with his infectious joviality.HS14 He served with an artillery outfit in the 82nd Airborne in Vietnam, using 105mm howitzers like what appears out front of Malvern Hill. He took early retirment to pursue his hobby.
