Summary
At the end of February Jake stopped at Edgewater to replenish water and gas for the outboard. While there he stopped at a restaurant for a steak and called the Channel Stop where he spoke to Debby and then Nate's where he spoke to Barb. She asked if he'd be returning to Winchester and said there'd be plenty for him to do. After thinking it over he called back to say he'd be there by the end of March.
While sailing back to Tarpon Springs to pick up the car and trailer Jake thought about the trip. It had been pretty good but would have been improved to have a companion all the time. Rachel would have loved it and been a good companion but Jake thought of her as a child and doubted that Nate would have approved.
On the drive north Jake stopped at his parents' in Wychbold for a couple of days. He'd just missed Lisa and learned that she was engaged to Greg. He also learned that Brittany had married Adam in a very small ceremony in a judge's chambers. He called Lisa and learned of her and Greg's plans to take his parents' boat north.
