John Hufnagel is introduced in the book Winchester Harbor (Book One of the Full Sails Series) as the "boyfriend" of Debby Jeppsen, the short order cook at the Channel Stop - a combination marina / snack bar / boat dock / refueling location / motel at Winchester Harbor, Michigan.
When we first hear of John Hufnagel he is dating Karen Van Brandt, but that does not last. His parents own a golf course somewhere near Winchester Harbor.
We finally learn his last name in Chapter 23. He pops "the question" in Chapter 25.
Note about names
A previous contributor provided Karen's surname and the names of John's parents. This contributor, (Ajh), cannot find those names in any of Wes Boyd's writings and would appreciate citations for the source.
