Summary
Before the 'Welcome Home' party, Susan chats with her brother Henry, learning about his life doing Restaurant Report Card and other TV Reporting in Springfield. He likes journalism, but wants to stay away from the Spearfish Lake Record-Herald. Susan wants a career that allows her to tour the world on someone else's money. Henry gives some suggestions, but he doesn't have the answer. Susan still doesn't know what Henry sees in his girlfriend Cindy.
The party is an Open House with people coming and going and Susan needs to spend time talking to all, friends and family. She is very happy to talk, in German, with her Oma. The time away from her best friend, Megan, has put some distance in their relationship, but both talk about their upcoming year as Seniors at the High School. Talking to Candice Archer, she explains one of the downsides to being an American abroad and how she could delay that discovery by speaking with a Plattdeutsch accent instead of a typical American accent. Principal Hekkinan is looking forward to having Susan share her experiences with her classmates.
