Summary
Good fishing weather in July and August meant that Amanda didn't have many days off. September brought more days not fishing so she could catch up with things she needed for Rag Doll.
Plans were made for Jake and Rachel to take Samantha to Florida for Christmas. Jake and Rachel would use their boat Winter Haven and Samantha would spend time with Amanda on Rag Doll before returning home with Greg and Lisa Alwyn.
While they wee waiting for the weather to allow them to lift the boats out of the water Adam called and talked a bit about his cruise so far and his plans for the winter, agreeing that it would be good to meet up in Florida. He also said Jake should take the 'For Sale' sign off the Knick-Knack as he might use it around Georgian Bay next summer.
Once the fishing boats were out of the water and secured for the winter Amanda loaded up her car and drove to Jacksonville, Florida in two days. She went straight to Sims Boat Yard to see that the Rag Doll was still there. Cordy told her about plans for dinner with Ron and Zack.
Over dinner Cordy said “... it would probably be best if you could have the Rag Doll out of the boatyard by the end of the month. And I suppose you’re planning on keeping it down here next winter, but you’d better not plan on leaving it at the boatyard.”
