Rachel Kunkle is the younger daughter of Nate and Marge Kunkle. She has a half-brother named Mike. She is the wife of Jake Lewis and they have a son Ron and a daughter Amanda.DS2
Rachel's father Nate owns and operates a charter fishing boat, Chinook III, out of Winchester. Even before age 12 she could be spotted alone on the flying bridge, running the boat out the channel.WH4 At age 15 she was described "She was taller than Debby, but not a lot, skinny in the way young teenage girls often are, obviously still with some growing to do but maybe not a lot. Rachel and Jake Lewis delivered the Mary Sue, sailing it from northern Michigan to Sandusky, Ohio, and bonding despite an age difference.
When Jake rebuilt a Parabellum sailboat, he named it Pixie, after Rachel. The pair would often work together in summers on charters, giving Nate a break to care for an ailing Marge.
