Summary
At the end of April Annette and Wayne returned from college. Jake helped Annette unload her car and she said "we have to talk". She tells him she isn't going to be a casual partner this summer because she's developing a relationship with Wayne and looking for opportunities they haven't had at college.
Jake felt unsettled that he'd now lost all his recent bed partners and still had no sign of a permanent relationship but realised that Florida in the winter would likely not be possible if he had a permanent relationship.
A couple of days after Memorial Day Greg and Lisa showed up and Lisa was amazed to see Jake working as short order cook. After work Jake visits with Greg and Lisa on their boat. During the catch-up session Lisa told Jake that Brittany had had a baby. Talking about their respective lives Greg says he is a bit envious of Jake's life with the result that Jake feels better about his life too.
When Susie came home for the July 4th weekend with breast implants she explained to Jake why she'd got them, people's reactions and her frustrations that she is noticed more now that she has more of a figure.
More and more Jake feels he is missing something not having a regular girlfriend, even though he would also lose a lot if he got tied down.
