Summary
Dave and Emily are definitely buying the Bradford Courier; with Dave providing financing and Emily managing and doing most of the work. Emily's Spee-D-Mart is closing just before Easter.
While Lloyd, Emily and Dave work on putting together the next weekly, Shae calls to say that the future of Avalon is still unclear; and she is getting frustrated. Dave suggests that she give a deadline to the manager, Sean—she'd need to know for sure by August 1.
Dave recalls that Shae and he were tentatively planning to build a house designed for tall people, since it's unlikely there is anything suitable for Shae in Bradford. When he says that they haven't actually done anything, and it would take a long time to get one built, Lloyd and then Emily suggest some possibilities that could make it happen much quicker. Making a decision, Dave springs into action, checking out a possible lot -- Don Paxton's old place—planning to talk to Shae and Don and the contractor that very day.
