Summary
Shae's attempt to get clarity on the fate of Avalon has not succeeded yet; she and Dave are still not sure where they will be next year. Still, despite the uncertainty, Dave is enthusiastic about the house-building idea.
They meet with the contractor, and his recommended designer, Steve Grimes, a draftsman and a kind of "jack-leg architect". A number of ideas about the house layout are discussed.
Dave manages to locate and talk to the proposed house lot owner, Don Paxton, and Don's potentially willing to sell at a fair appraisal value.
Both Dave and Shae are feeling good about Steve's skill and are looking forward in living in a house that fits them and their needs.
