Summary
Mignon invites Jason for a dinner while Vicky works late. They talk about Thanksgiving plans and looking forward to seeing Duane home from college. We get an outline of Duane's youth and his passion for the outdoors, his more recent experience and plans for Appalachian Trail.
Mignon invites Jason and Duane for Thanksgiving dinner. That her youngest, Troy, is about to be a father leads to talk about Vicky and the time she spends with Jason. Mignon expresses her trust in Jason and encourages him to keep Vicky busy. She finally says out loud, "I think if something were to happen with the two of you it would be good for both of you."
