Summary
Dayna and Sandy busked in Mackinaw City for the summer, with occasional trips away. After Labor Day, they headed to Wisconsin for a Renfaire and a bit of research at the University Library to confirm the copyright on various songs for their album. By October, the pair were back in Bradford. Emily had some juicy gossip about old classmates, but was confused. Dayna was able to clarify some of what Emily heard (and interpret what Jennlynn was talking about.MC4)
The trip to Tennessee started with a visit to Steam Train John, where he confessed to mixed news. They would recording in Memphis and for five days, not just two. Filling the extra recording time wouldn't be too difficult and they'd have some time to work up songs with John.
Neither Dayna nor Sandy had heard of the historic Sun Records Studio and Museum in Memphis before they arrived, and neither were big Elvis fans, but their connection to Blues got smiles from both the manager and engineer. Both wanted to hear these white girls play Lucille Bogan as they warmed up. They were very interested in the alternative versions the girls had that was not in their existing collection.
