Summary

Mike and Kirsten decide to move over Memorial Day weekend. Kirsten still makes Mike check the bathroom before she uses it. She is far along on her third pregnancy, and taking a bath in a tub is getting to be very difficult.

Moving would be difficult - but they had promises of help from Gil, Carrie, Danny and Josh Archer. Mike and Kirsten had been filling boxes during any free time, and stacking the boxes in the living room. They've already moved several loads into the garage at the new house.

A surprise was an offer of help from Mark and Jackie and their pickup, plus an invite to dinner so that they wouldn't have to worry about cooking on their first night in the new house.

Early saturday morning saw the start of the move. Gil, Carrie, Mark and Jackie showed up and in one trip moved two truckloads before Josh and Danny showed up with a third (borrowed) pickup truck. By one in the afternoon almost everything was moved and Jackie broke out a pair of coolers containing a premade lunch for all.

One more trip was made after lunch by Kirsten, Mark and Tiffany to do a final pass through the old house. During that trip Tiffany asked when they would be getting a dog.

Over on the west coast, Jenny Easton is on a beach on Santa Catalina island doing an early morning shoot of the TV spot for Defenders of Gaea. Blake is along in his role as bodyguard and driver. Jenny does the spot, then a short interview with Hollywood Tonight. When asked, she repeated again that Spearfish Lake was off limits for an interview.

On the way back to the airport Blake and Jenny discuss Spearfish Lake, the Club, and the impact that any tabloid photographers with long lenses could have on her friends and family.

The chapter closes with Jenny saying... "There is one compensation ... If any photographers try a long shot, they’ll think the safest shot is from across the lake. That’s mosquito gulch over there. Maybe the mosquitoes will suck those bloodsuckers dry."
