Summary
Andy Petree was the Department of Natural Resources District Forester and regional fire team chief. He received calls from Spearfish Lake requesting assistance with the fire. After discussing it he sent Tom Dunning, his assistant, to Spearfish County to show up and offer advice because they didn't have any equipment to send.
Vixen used a digital camera to get some pictures of the big yellow road grader making a track into the forest. She also suggested getting some of the fire and offering them to the paper when they get back to town.
Clint had learned the extent of the fire and how far away they'd need to set the downwind fire line to be clear of the bog.
Deputy Chris Aaronsen told Spearfish Central that he was leaving the county and called Radisson Central to advise them he was entering their county looking for Bob Coopshaw. When he found the pickup in a ditch he called it in to Radisson Central so Radisson county officers could deal with it.
