Summary

Driving back from Greenville Meredith wondered if they'd left Kellye with the wrong impression that they were girlfriend and boyfriend. That led into a discussion of their sexual orientations which left them in silence for a while.

Meredith commented that Kellye resolved most of the major cast problems for the first part of the season, just leaving the older male roles of Chubokov and Emerson. They agree to call Neil Morford the next evening.

The next day they firmed up budget figures to present to Marty before scrounging round for furniture to take to the Fowler house.

When they phoned Neil Morford he hadn't got any acting planned for the summer and would like to play the roles they offered him, but his wife had planned out his summer as soon as the Heatherwood went down the tubes. He'd try to help out with one play if they were desperate but preferred not this summer.

Brett and Meredith talk round who they can get for the male roles but don't come up with any names.

The following day they go to the Curlew Creek Winery to present their playbill and budget to Marty and Samantha. The Ammermans ask a few questions about planned plays but have brought Brett and Meredith to run the theater so leave the decisions to them. They mention the problem with casting a second male and when Brett describes who they are looking for as "a guy in his fifties or maybe sixties, and it would be nice if he had a full beard" Samantha suggests Mike Fowler saying he has some experience and said he'd be interested in doing a part or two.
