Squirt left when his brother needed him to wrench for the Indianapolis 500.
Sonny Ochsenlaager took over car 72 and ran really slowly until Mel asked Spud whether he'd corrected the restrictor plates.
In Cape Girardeau, Missouri Frank got a message to call Squirt in Indianapolis. Runt had qualified for the Indianapolis 500 and needed a pit crew. The whole MMSA crew except for Hattie and Carol Novesky went.
