In the Spearfish Lake Tales universe John Holger owns an airplane brokerage based at Greeley Airport in Greeley, Colorado.
John purchased the brokerage from a man named Dick with a shady reputation. "Jennlynn had been warned by a guy at Hernando ... that this broker wasn't above pulling a fast one, and to be careful."MC14
Dick owned the brokerage when Jennlynn traded her Cessna Magic Carpet in on a Mooney Mark 21 in 1993.MC14
The Mooney was her second airplane, which she sold when she bought Songbird, the Cessna 310. The Mooney went to a group of retired military personnel, one of which Joe Brockway.
In Chapter 36 of Magic Carpet John negotiates (with Jennlynn Swift) a replacement Cessna 207 for Jeff Waldemer's missionary work in South America.
While John does the paperwork on the 207 Jennlynn supervises the refueling of Skyhook for the next leg of the days flight itinerary. She kills a little time after the refueling by walking down the line of used airplanes and discovers her original Cessna 150 Magic Carpet. It's in really bad shape, but she instantly buys it back from John, with no negotiations at all.
