Summary

Adam went out on the Knick-Knack for a couple of days mid week and got to Put-In-Bay for the first tiime. The resort was closing up as the season pretty much ended on Labor Day and few shops or bars were open. He spent the time thinking thngs through and decided a visit to Jake Lewis to ask his advice was due.

At the Channel Stop Adam enjoyed talking about his visit to Blanche Tickle and the improvements to the settlement coming from the art colony.

Amanda Lewis was no nearer finding the boat she wanted and pleased that the boat she'd sold him worked well for what he wanted from it. He particularly praised it for the recent trip to Georgian Bay. Talking about what he wanted in his next boat Amanda said that Moonshadow, which she had looked at, sounded about right. She had very similar requirements but a much smaller budget than Adam.

Adam, Jake and Amanda drove to Traverse City to look at Moonshadow, and had a brief sail. Before negotiating the price Adam had Jake perform a thorough marine survey, which revealed a number of relatively minor problems and a major problem with a dead engine. Jake expected Adam to get at least $10,000 off the asking price.
