Summary
Nanci and Amber got to the Conestoga church early because Nanci had realised the time to chat before and after the service were as important to the community as the service itself.
Art Gamble commented on the painting Nanci and Amber had done an said he might be there next Saturday to help too. Art said there was something else to talk about and Nanci feared more comments about Amber but it was Reverend Saunders reaction to her taking the funeeral for Elmer Pepper.
Nanci's text for the sermon was the parable of the Good Samaritan. After reading the passage from the Bible and making a few direct comments about it she went on to tell her own story and called members of her family the Good Samaritans who helped her turn her life around and taught her about Jesus and salvation. She was pleasantly surprised at the positive reactions, particularly from Trent Westbrook.
Driving back to Tyler for the service there, Nanci and Amber talked a bit about the sermon and Amber's growing understanding and faith.
