Summary
Cody asked who was injured and got some replies before noticing that Logan was also injured. Jan came into the room to start first aid while Cody reported the shooting and that the scene was secure.
Many students had also called 9-1-1 to report the shooting so the call for police and ambulance to attend had already gone out.
Don Kimball at the Hawthorne Reporter heard the call on the scanner. He sent a news flash to the wire service before heading to the scene to get the story.
Police Chief Charles Bascomb heard the call while on the golf course, and headed to the campus.
Jan got others in the room to help with first aid by putting pressure on wounds to reduce the bleeding. Laura and Vixen both used their shirts, leaving them topless.
Sergeant Claxton and Don Kimball got Alan and Summer's story while walking to an ambulance to get Alan's wound looked at.
Both Sergeant Claxton and Don Kimball had mis-heard Cody Archer's report and thought there had been multiple shooters.
