Linda Wallace was the mother of Amber Wallace.
Linda was known as the town drunk, and essentially the town whore.CR2 She had been the cook at the Prairie Dawn,CR16 and then had a job cleaning house until her drinking got her sacked in summer 2006.CR11 She mostly hung around the Stationhouse - the only bar in town.
She once wasn’t a bad person, but the bottle turned her into pure trash.CR16
With no means to pay rent she was squatting in an old shack on the edge of Tyler.
Linda frequently stayed out overnight two or three days but in early May she didn't return to the shack for over a week.CR8 Amber shared her concern with Nanci Chladek who told Sheriff Bert Shoemaker.
Her body was found in Denver and Nanci drove Amber over to formally aidentify the body.CR22 After a cremation in Denver Nanci led a funeral service at the cemetery east of Tyler and Amber scattered the ashes at the edge of the prairie.CR23
