Alexandria Metarie aka Lex is a biker and a talented artist, who owns a gallery in Spearfish Lake with some of her work running into 5 figure sums. She is married to Dr. Gene Metarie aka "Shovelhead".
The C&SL Railroad office has a big Alexandria Metarie painting of Plow Extra One memorializing its work in saving Warsaw, a story told in Snowplow Extra.
Lex was elected Mayor of Spearfish Lake around 1998, as a compromise candidate. She was reelected every year since as of 2001. Mike McMahon thinks that she is the best mayor that he has covered for the Spearfish Lake Record-Herald, based on several facts, one of which is that she keeps meetings short and to the point.FtS15

When Danny Evachevski was furnishing Tricia York's house Lex put some of her pictures on the walls and Danny left Tricia a note Tricia, the paintings are on loan from the Metarie Gallery.
