Summary
Randy drives his truck through Ontario and gets to the end of the trail only a couple hours after Crystal. He explains that Marlin couldn't make it as her (Crystal's) fault. She's at OLTA and her Springer Fever is even worse.
After a night in the tent together, the pair hike up Katahdin Mountain so Randy can see the summit and witness Crystal add her Georgian pebble to the pile there. Crystal was subdued with her adventure over and a lack of what comes next.
After at night in a motel, they reach Myleigh's dorm at Cornell. With the three of them working, it doesn't take long to pack her for the move to Athens. Myleigh worries about payment, especially as there is an opportunity to study the following summer at Oxford. Randy has some ideas about how to fund her trip to England.
As they pass Chicago and Glen Ellyn, they avoid the Chaldek's, as Crystal is still unwelcome. They pass another night just before Athens. As they unload, Myleigh's new roommate shows up and she and Randy take an instant animal dislike to each other.
