Carondelet

Carondelet is a town in Cooke County, Colorado about forty miles south of Tyler. Bigger than Tyler, with a population of maybe two or three thousand,^CR14 it was the nearest town with lawyers, a funeral home, clothes shop, doctor and hospital.

The children's services agency in Carondelet served five counties and ran a group home for children who didn't have any other place to live.^CR13

There was a weekly newspaper printed in Carondelet, though it rarely had anything about Walke County or Tyler.^CR6

An American Legion Post from Carondelet provided a salute at Elmer Pepper's funeral.^CR17
