Summary

Gerald's first visit in Carondelet on Monday morning was to the lawyer Charles McGill. He learned more about what was involved in getting the estate probated. Charles McGill also advised him that many people of Elmer's age didn't trust banks so kept cash in various places.

Gerald went on to the Mound-Burton Funeral Home and made arrrangements with Ed Burton for a graveside service at West Walke Cemetery next Thursday afternoon. He was given a bag with the things which had been in Elmer's pockets, including his wallet which seemed to have at least $1000 in it.

Leah asked whether she'd be going to school and have children to play with - another problem Gerald hadn't anticipated.
