Summary
Nanci Chladek felt a little that the parsonage was her space but there was still a strangeness which she realised was because she was living alone for the first time in her life. She went to the Prairie Dawn for breakfast partly to relieve the loneliness.
Edith Hawley told Nanci that it was a busy day for her as she'd put out a newsletter. Nanci learned of Elmer Pepper's death and asked Bernice Reed whether he'd been a member of either Methodist church. Bernice didn't think so but to check with Art Gamble.
When Nanci phoned she spoke with Shirley Gamble and learned that Elmer Pepper and his wife Gladys had attended the Lexington church. She also learned how Elmer had died and that Shirley and Cathy had found him.
